A Colorado woman’s death has been linked to cesium chloride supplementation. She had a single injection of cesium chloride into her breast. She developed abnormally high levels of cesium in the blood, followed by an imbalance in electrolytes and an irregular heart rhythm. She had a heart attack and did not survive.
