Out Walk Breast Cancer

Posted on Oct 31, 2013 in Research

Active women have a 25% lower risk of breast cancer than inactive women, according to the American Cancer Society. Walking at least an hour a day decreased breast cancer risk by 14%, while the most active women had a 25% reduced risk.

Small changes can make a big difference. Here are a few easy ways to get moving:

  • Park on the far side of the lot at the office or when running errands.
  • Take a walking meeting
  • Play with your kids at the park
  • Walk the dog, or even walk a neighbor’s dog.
